IBQS Pays a Return Visit to KADEM
Our Chairman Halis Kuralay visited KADEM Chairperson Attorney Dr. Canan Sarı, congratulated her on her new position and presented the Union's Braille Quran services.
Halis Kuralay, Chairman of the Board of the International Union of Braille Quran Services (IBQS), paid a return visit to KADEM. The meeting was hosted by KADEM Chairperson Attorney Dr. Canan Sarı, together with Education Director Arzu Güngör Arıkan and Project Director Ayşe Burcu Şahin.
Halis Kuralay was accompanied by Ayşe Kuralay and Board Members Sümeyra Özdemir and Hanife Sertkaya. Information was shared about the mission and Braille Quran services of the Union. Halis Kuralay also recited a short passage from the Braille Quran and congratulated Dr. Canan Sarı on her new position, conveying his best wishes.

Our Work in Africa Deepens: Visit to Gambia
IBQS President Halis Kuralay was in Banjul, the capital of Gambia, on 17–24 January 2026. He attended a meeting of foundations providing religious services in 25 African countries, presented Braille Qurans and Elif primers to the GOVI school for the blind, and guided the founding of a Gambian association to join the Union.
IBQS President Halis Kuralay Visits Canada
On 4–11 September 2025 IBQS President Halis Kuralay met organizations such as Islamic Relief, the British Columbia Muslim Association and the Muslim Association of Canada in Vancouver, met student groups at the University of British Columbia and gave an interview to the Al-Ameen newspaper.
