Preparing the Foundation: Statute Meeting in Beylikdüzü (August 2013)

In August 2013 the delegates of the February conference met again in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, to draft the Union's statute and prepare the documents required for the establishment application.
Following the decision to form an umbrella organization at the 1st International Braille Quran Conference, the conference delegates met again in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, in August 2013.
During the week-long working meeting, the statute of the organization was drafted and the documents required for the official establishment application were prepared. The decision to form an international union bringing together local organizations that provide accessible Islamic services worldwide took concrete shape at this meeting.
Following the application, the International Union of Braille Quran Services acquired legal personality by decision of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Türkiye dated 24 April 2014.

The 2nd Ordinary General Assembly, held in Istanbul on 24–27 July 2017, brought together 50 representatives from 18 countries; a panel on disability in the light of the Holy Quran was held.
